Thanks to Stewart for the idea this week. Since our color got a bit military I made him dress up as a soldier. This song was a favorite of both German and Allied soldiers during World War II. At the bottom of this post I have pasted a video for anyone wanting to hear the real thing!

I went to visit Damien Fate’s new mesh build on Fate Island today and enjoyed walking around and checking out the great textures. Kungler’s has a new dress out and I fell in love with this gold one. You can tell fall is on the way when the earthy tones start calling out to you. My dreamy hazel eyes from Ikon Innovia match the dress and the ambience perfectly.
I have been wearing the Cassiopea skin from Aida Ewing of Glam Affair for awhile and it may be my favorite skin of all time. Well, at least until a new one comes out, anyway!

When I saw this cute dress from Go! I laughed because it looks so similar to an apron I wear around the house to do cleaning, laundry, etc. Mine is pink and white, too, but I won’t submit everyone to a photo of me in hausfrau regalia.

I was fortunate to find this great dress from Onyx Leshelle this week, actually called Russet. I am used to my russets being potatoes but sometimes an exception must be made.
I was also fortunate to find the MadPea base thanks to Casja Lilliehook’s great location website. Definitely a very cool place, and so reminiscent of my mood these last few weeks. Hopefully next week is a nice, bright, beachy color or something!
Congratulations to Grazia Horowitz, who wins one skin from Glam Affair. And next week, it must be a Maitreya prize. Yes, I think it’s time. I’ll give away this dress in the color of the winner’s choice.

One of my favorite designs at Vintage Fair this year comes from Purple Moon. This great mesh jacket fits perfectly and the leather textures look smooth and buttery, as any good leather should! The comic-inspired necklaces from Addiction add a classy retro touch, along with the fantastic two-toned wedges from Ingenue. Vintage Fair runs through August 29th, so there is definitely time to go over and have a look at what they have to offer!

The only problem with so much great stuff at Vintage Fair is that there is too much for me to wear myself. (Have I just committed blogger blasphemy?) At any rate, my friend Isabelle helped me show the Vintage Fair awesomeness today.
Cory Edo’s super-chic NYC66 skybox was the perfect background for us:
Isabelle’s sassy, sparkly dress from Gotzche makes her look like she’s ready for a night on the town instead of a skybox. 
Isabelle is also sporting one of Kungler’s more avant-garde earring designs, which pair perfectly with her bold look.
My own more subtle frock is from Ison. I confess I have been wearing this dress for a week, and I never get sick of looking at the textures on it. My jewelry is called Nina from Me. It’s classic style and color options worked perfectly for this outfit. And I truly do love the Veronica hair from Wasabi Pills…it might win as my favorite Vintage Fair hair. And I have to mention the Claudia skin from Lara Hurley. It’s smooth and creamy and totally vintage classic.

As I was trying to find something to wear for this week’s challenge, everything I found in my inventory was either too blue or had already been used for Dark Raspberry. I did have some makeup though, and a lovely new creation from Maxi Gossamer, that fit the bill. But mostly I just love the Roza skin from Glam Affair and love trying different makeup colors on it, so I just threw the clothes idea out the window. And I like it so much I want to share the Glam Affair love! I will give away one skin next week.

At last I was able to get into Vintage Fair and everything finally rezzed so I am able to get at the vintage goodness! The first design I fell utterly in love with was the Gloria hair from Wasabi Pills. 2012 may not be vintage, but this style works in the present day as well as hints at sleek elegance from times past. My jewelry is from Tiffy Vella of Eclectica and has instantly become one of my favorite sets. The variety possible with this set is nothing short of amazing.
My beautiful dress, while not a Vintage Fair item, does fit the retro theme. This is the Pixxis Designer Circle item this week. It makes me feel sleek and stylish.

I love the quaintness of this movie-reel pose prop from Flowey at this round of Fluid. Whether watching a great film classic or pining for times past, this pose sets a great mood and has five different poses for watching. Now I am off to finish watching Rebecca!

I love this color. There’s something about yellow that provides an instant mood lift. This week a quiet, beach-side moment was in order, and this great parasol and beach towel set was perfect.
