52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Tangelo

I love this color. Can you really be sad when you are wearing this color? It’s like trying to stay angry while eating pie. Can’t be done. This one was a real pick-me-up!

Thanksgiving has come and gone, and now it’s time to look forward to the winter season. But I couldn’t quite let the fall go without one more cozy-but-no-need-for-a-winter-coat outfit. Today my shirt and my comfy Ugg boots come from Intrepid Designs.

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Juniper

When I was ten years old my mother gave me a copy of The Juniper Tree and Other Tales from Grimm. Edited by Lore Segal and with illustrations from the wondrous Maurice Sendak, they kept me fascinated for years. These are the original fairy tales with all the creepy, morbid bits intact. And the Juniper Tree is one of the  best…about a stepmother who kills her young stepson and cooks him down and feeds him to his father for dinner. For the whole story you can visit this site.

The other day we had a snowstorm blow through, and while all the snow melted quickly, it was a cold, bitter thing while it lasted. After school I arrived at my car completely covered in snow  and had to do a dance in the middle of the street to shake it all off before I could get in. No doubt it was much appreciated entertainment for the passers-by.

Fortunately my lovely coat and scarf today from Shine escaped the abominable-snowman look. And Maxi Gossamer’s gorgeous Beatrice earrings are the perfect accessory.

If you haven’t got a pair or six of Ikon Innovia’s new Eternal line of eyes then you are definitely missing out. Eternal eyes have a larger wreath around the pupil, giving more variation to the iris coloring, and heightening the reflective contrast of the upper half of the eye.  From a distance:

The Last Gasp

We have had a big nor’easter these last few days and it has been sad but beautiful to see the leaves flying everywhere. It also snowed and gave us our first taste of winter. So I am taking these last few moments of gorgeous fall and cementing them in my memory.

One of my favorite things in SL this fall has been playing around with Nalena Fairey’s gorgeous landscaping grasses and trees. Her products combine realistic textures with impressionistic dreaminess. I can’t get enough.

R.I.P

A few events are now over but I was not able to blog the things I liked while they were running. So today I am wearing some of my favorites from Cinema and The Costume Ball.

The Revenge pants from Darling Monday were one of my favorite items, mesh pants are one of the hardest things to fit and these are soft, casual and hug just the right amount.

I love the new Wasabi Pills hair that was released at the Costume Ball. So casual but so sweet!
